Okay, there's this compulsion to complain before I start work proper. As you can see, I have an effing thick stack of readings to go through for EN3222. Also considering the fact that up to this very second I have not read Robinson Crusoe, Tristram Shandy or finished Betsy Thoughtless, I should really really start soon. Camping in law library really inspires you to study because these prospective lawyers seem to live on studying. They eat, breathe, sleep and drink their thick books and notes with tiny words.
It's only 10am in the morning and I've already been doing stupid things. I bought the can of coffee, that you can see in the background of the picture, from the vending machine just outside the library but I didn't know that they had the HOT and COLD option. So imagine my shock when I was attempting to take the can out. Pet came just in time to witness my stupidity. On top of that I dumbly was using the hand with a sore thumb.
It's a real sore thumb, okay.
That's because after praying for rain and wind for so long, a storm finally brewed up last night. The winds were really really strong. So I dragged myself out of bed (at 1130pm - yes, I know, I've been sleeping at like 1030pm recently. Damn early.) to close the windows. But just as I stuck my hand out of the window to grab the handle, the wind slammed the slightly ajar window on my hand which I managed to pull out in time, save for the thumb. So my whole right thumb was smashed for a good ten seconds and now it's still hurting and bleeding inside - I can see the blueblack in my nail. It hurts so much I can't even type/text with my right thumb, what more write. I have at least 10 papers to WRITE - with a pen - next week, for exams, I really don't know how I'm going to achieve that. Stupid, really.
Okay, enough of humiliating myself. I'm going to start on Crusoe whom I hate with a passion.
p/s there are loads of random posts on my lj like "i crave donuts" and stuff. I'll clear up this mess after exams. Apparently, my lj's reflecting the state my mind is in now. In a mess.
p.p.s/ I think I over-estimated my abilities. I thought I could finish studying one module a day but I realised that for each module, the duration spent on it for lectures is 26 hours in a semester so how is it possible to finish 26 hours in 24 hours, especially when I don't even spend 24 hours a day studying?!
p.p.p.s/ I think I should start bringing a sleeping bag and my pillow to the library like those mad people camping 24/7 in central library.
